Dredging

DECO tackles a range of difficulties with unique dredge applications, designed to fit the clients requirements.

We own several dredges ranging from simple airlifts over hydraulic and electric dredge pumps to custom clay and rock dredges.

Pile dredging

DECO’s pile dredges are used for decommissioning or offshore installation projects. Pile Dredges use high powered water jets to remove the internal contents of a pile (soil plugs, clay layers, debris). For abandonment purposes the pile dredge removes soil from piles in to allow access for the UHP - cutting tools.

Dredging spreads are fully integrated in containers for offshore use. Pile dredges can be equipped with modular applications like revolving water jets to clean the pile wall or disintegrate soil plugs.

All spreads can either be build according to the customer’s specifications (pile diameter, depth of operation, …) or can be modified depending on the situation (modular design, …). The dredge tools can be remotely controlled or diver operated.  

Rock/Clay dredging

The objective is to deliver time-effective and cost-effective solutions for our clients. DECO combines its Water-Jet technology with traditional dredging techniques to tackle a recurrent issues during dredging projects: clay and rock.

We have successfully dredged various clays including London clay, 116MPa limestone, 135 MPa grout and 184 MPa granite.

DECO designs the dredging tools in-house to fully robotize the frame to the customer’s specifications. DECO developed a pocket-sized water jet nozzle to operate in any position or space. They are integrated in modular applications that can be mounted on a dredge head or other dredging tools. The revolving UHP water jets break the clay and rock layers and suspend the sediment to facilitate the dredging operations.
