Subsea Cleaning Solutions

Based on our extensive experience with subsea tooling and cleaning principles, DECO Subsea designs, manufactures and operates tailor‑made underwater cleaning systems to meet your specific project requirements. Our focus is on structural preparation prior to grouting, coating, repair or inspection, ensuring clean, bond‑ready surfaces.

Cleaning with divers

Our commercial diving teams carry out mechanical and hydraulic cleaning using brushes, scrapers and high‑pressure water tools. Typical tasks include quay wall and harbor structure cleaning, hull and propeller cleaning, and the removal of marine growth from jacket foundations and structural members to prepare them for grouting, inspection or repair.

Jacket pile (internal) cleaning

For pre‑piled jacket structures, there is often a delay between driving the foundation piles and installing the jacket. In this time, biological fouling and debris accumulate on the inner pile walls.

Clean internal pile surfaces are essential for effective grouting of jacket pins into foundation piles. All loose debris, marine growth and excess soil must be removed to achieve full grout contact and accommodate pin length.

DECO Subsea designs, builds and operates in‑runner type robotic cleaning tools with integrated dredging capabilities. Equipped with rotating high‑pressure water jets, cameras and airlift systems, these tools clean and, where required, remove residual soil inside the pile to deliver a grout‑ready internal surface.

Monopile

(external) cleaning

For monopile foundations, there is often a gap of weeks or months between pile driving and transition piece installation. In this interval, marine growth develops on the outer monopile walls.

A clean outer surface is critical for effective grouting of the transition piece. All marine fouling must be removed to ensure proper grout bonding and long‑term structural integrity.

DECO Subsea designs, builds and operates out‑runner type robotic cleaning tools with rotating high‑pressure water jets for fast, uniform monopile cleaning over the required height.
