New developments

Ever-increasing efficiency and reliability

DECO Subsea is continuously engaged in R&D projects (both internally and with external partners) to further improve its existing tools and techniques as well as to expand its range of tools and applications. The overall result of these R&D programs is an ever-increasing efficiency and reliability of our services for our clients.

Large diameter internal cutting tool

DECO Subsea’s current portfolio of internal cutting tools allows us to cut any pile with internal diameters up to 3m but in view of future requirements (especially in offshore wind) we have designs ready for fabrication of a large diameter internal cutting tool capable of cutting internal diameters up to 10m. This new tool will be equipped with two cutting heads on opposite sides for 50% reduced cutting times.

Multi-functional clay/grout/sand dredge tool

DECO Subsea’s current portfolio covers a wide range of dredge tools for different soil types and pile diameters. Based on our broad experience and our desire to continuously expand our capabilities and flexibility, we have recently designed (and have now ready for fabrication) a multi-functional dredge tool capable of dredging any soil type (clay/grout/sand) which is easily adaptable to a wide range of pile diameters.

Large depth jetting

In 2020 DECO Subsea set a new company record by performing a series of highly successful cuts at 130m water depth on a project in Norway. It’s in our DNA to always want to take it another step further so nobody will be surprised to learn that we are now working on an extensive R&D project intended to reliably expand our depth range to 250m below sea level.
